We have been in a worldwide pandemic that has stretched our ability to cope in many ways. The sheer uncertainty of the course of COVID-19 causes increased anxiety and loneliness, a concern about our physical and emotional well-being. We, in Rossmoor Rotary, are aware of our members’ needs through our weekly meetings and special calls to those who need extra support. Our friendships and sincere caring that Rotary members bring to each other strengthens our club and its importance.
Our guiding principle, “Service Above Self” began 115 years ago when Rotary was founded. Our service to others continues strong in Rossmoor through our educational programs and support of local charities. We also extend our help to all ages and cultures worldwide through giving our expertise and financial support to various international programs.
Our Theme this year is Rotary Opens Opportunities. Please join us in a weekly Wednesday noon meeting. Our meetings at the Hillside clubhouse will resume when we are safe from COVID-19. In the meantime, we will help you connect with us over the web using Zoom. You will learn that Rotary is a welcoming club that appeals to those who are interested in finding new friends, ones who want to feel confident giving to proven causes, and those who enjoy interesting topics from respected speakers. If you are trying to find friendly neighbors who are open to understanding current local and world issues with an interest in how we can help in finding solutions, The Rotary Club of Rossmoor is worthy of your time
Yours in Rotary Service,
Jim Olson & Steve Elefant
